Ringlest in her hair,

tied back in a bow.

A clueless girl,

who doesn't know.

She walks through the crowd,

ingulfed within,

walking to the stairs,

until the program begins.

Her name is called

as she walks to stand,

shaking palms,

that clasp a hand.

She looks into the sea of stares,

Searching but,

he wasn't there.

Her legs start to quiver,

As her knees start to bend.

She forces a smile,

but it's only pretend.

His phone went unanswered,

as he ran from the town,

leaving his daughter,

alone in the crowd.
