Farewell

Beginnings are tough, full of stress and doubt,

New and old friends, that will shine in my heart.

A love I found, how much of a mistake it was,

Little did I know he was the dawn of a dying sun.

Life from him on was nothing but pain, but how was I to know?

New people yet again, but they grew closer to my heart;

From art and ‘Meow’, to history with Gollum,

Devil cat, and ‘My Precious’, love was seeping in again.

The land down under brought me knowledge and insight,

Knowledge of my world; insight into my soul.

Death has followed me, from years passed into now,

Then was a friend, now a love and lover.

Mistakes were made, to ones I love

But out of sympathy, he saved me from a worse fate.

A hero is gone, 6/4/04 my goodbye.

A new love to hold, trust to regain,

How could I have been so blind, hadn’t I started over?

Devlin, Cat, and Maikau, a new path for my gifts,

Shouldn’t it be a new start, instead of hurdling me back?

All I need, from them, is the comfort of a friend.

Farwell my loves, for to see you again is folly,

Better to have known me now, before my corruption bleeds.

I know not what my life has in store,

Just that you were in it, changing me forever more.

Farewell to you I say, you were lucky to gain my friendship.

A cat is not as easy to tame as you invisioned.
