Old Guitarist

Wailing out in his despair,

he plays his tune of woe,

his long fingers grasping his guitar

to find the notes of his sad melody.

His face he casts down with a pained glance,

wrinkled and worn from his years,

his sad eyes squint in misery

as his song flows from his twisted mouth.
