Ah, here begins yet another chapter in the Epic Saga- these poems were for an assignment in which we were to create epitaphs, rather like that of the Spoon River Anthology. Naturally, Mizu and I did The Soap Opera Under the Sea - and there are quite a few new characters you're going to meet - albeit briefly. So, without further ado, I present to you poem number one - Harold

Harold

So sad and lonely

The life of a sea cucumber

Being gay wasn’t much help either

Harold oozed along the ocean bottom

Bemoaning his sad and lonely fate

Until, one stormy night came Lester

The luscious lobster, his one true love

Happiness! Joy! Ecstacy!

Not long after, tragedy struck

A hug went awry

The tide went out, and with it Harold’s head

No more love for the sea cucumber

No more luscious lobster

No more
