Tainted Innocence: Chapter Five

The first bit of pressure put Haru on his back, gasping in sweet bliss just in time for Simian's lips to claim his. Haru lifted his hips just a little and Simian sank home inside his warm and willing body, filling him up with the most exquisite sense of completeness that he'd ever experienced in his life. A little pain was inevitable, no matter how careful his lover was, but any discomfort was almost immediately eclipsed by the need for more...more Simian, more kisses and hugs, and most importantly - more friction.

Simian forced himself to wait until Haru adjusted around him, gritting his teeth against the urge - his human urge - to plunge in and take Haru as hard as he could. The tiger rumbled in Simian's chest, deep and soothing as the deer bleated softly, nudging against Haru's chin before all three melded and claimed Haru.

Haru was not a silent participant. As soon as a maddening rhythm began to drum inside of his tight, yet pliable body he let up a series of moans that would have made even the most promiscuous love partner redden. One last wiggle from his small posterior and suddenly Simian was hitting that place inside that made fireworks at pointblank range seem dim and silent by comparison. The cry he let out at that moment was the most sensual yet.

Simian, on the other hand, couldn't catch his breath long enough to moan, or else he would have just as enthusiastically as Haru. But he didn't think he'd be able to arouse anyone by those sounds as thoroughly as the passionate little bunny could do to him. Simian kissed Haru with a tenderness that nearly made both of them weep, smothering their heated cries against each other's mouths as each took and received the greatest ecstasy from their lover's body.

Haru was seeing stars by that point. His body didn't seem large enough or strong enough to contain the passions of his soul. His nimble body writhed up just a little, his legs tightened, and then his member was being amazingly tantalized against Simian's taut stomach. And then with the kisses, the pounding inside his body, and the friction against his most sensitive areas; Haru believed he had, at last, found heaven.

Simian worked his hands beneath Haru's hips, supporting the other's straining back while using the leverage to reach as far inside as he could before moving out enough so that he could plunge even deeper again. He and Haru kept their eyes locked the entire time they were making love, unwilling - and unable - to break that connection. Simian’s eyes flashed from a deep green, to a soft brown, to an intense gold that all held the same passion and unspoken love.

Haru felt in a strange way that he was dying and that his spirit was already beginning to detach from his body. He didn't even recognize the pulsing sensation of approaching climax since it had never been this hard won before...or as cherished. As all the sounds in the room seemed to mute, Haru-chan was barely able to whisper "S-sim," before the passion overwhelmed him.

"Ahhh!!!" he cried, bucking solidly up onto Simian, sending forth a surge of his milky seed between them.

Simian held Haru hard against him, shaking as he finally had to shut his multi-colored eyes, feeling the warmth of Haru's seed spread along his stomach as he felt his own lower stomach warm several degrees in response. He cried out hoarsely as Haru's body clenched unmercifully around him, finally taking Simian completely over the edge as he arched one last time and filled Haru to the brim with torrents of his own thick come.

Haru, quivering and panting, latched onto Simian's neck and gasped as the aftershocks rippled pleasantly up and down his body. He had never EVER come like that, with such intensity, and the fact that they had climaxed at almost the same time meant that Simian had been just as in tune as he was.

Haru sniffled as little tears of emotion flooded his eyes. "Sim...Sim-chan?"

Simian pressed his burning cheek against Haru's equally warm shoulder, trembling fiercely as he clutched his little lover closer to him. Tears of exertion, relief, and even a little anxiety that he hoped he didn't hurt Haru spilling over onto the other's pale skin as his breath came in irregular sobs.

Haru was amazingly content, at that moment, to simply exist in Simian's arms, their bodies still warmly connected. One hand was stroking Simian’s sweat-slicked pink hair, pushing the limp bangs back, while the other held on to his neck for dear life. The colors of the room were slowly coming back into focus as Haru matched his breathing with that of his exhausted lover.

Gradually, eventually, Simian's breathing slowed, although his heart began to race again when the misty fog in his head began to clear. He kept his face turned away from Haru's, worrying his already bruised bottom lip with his teeth, suddenly extremely nervous.

Haru felt Simian tense and the platform of joy upon which his soul had been dancing began to wobble. "Sim-chan? Daijoubu desu ka?" Are you alright? Haru nervously reverted back to his Japanese roots, discovering the comfort he’d just so recently found trickling through his fingertips, almost too afraid to voice his concerns lest his achievement slip away completely.

What could he say? Simian’s heart throbbed, but he wasn't in pain, and his stomach was fluttering madly, but he didn't feel sick. He didn't know what to do, but maybe Haru did. "H-hai, Haru-chan..."

"Ne, Sim-chan, look at me," Haru's little voice begged. He didn't like it that they were still so intimately joined but that he couldn't see Simian's face. The one hand behind the hybrid’s neck gave the tiniest little nudge.

Simian obediently lifted his head, although he kept his eyes shyly downcast. He braced his hands on either side of Haru's shoulders, raising his torso off the delicate bunny so that he wasn't suffocating him, but Haru’s insides were clutching at him so tightly that he couldn’t pull away any further than that.

Haru tried to tilt his head so he could see into Simian's eyes. He hadn't really been feeling crushed at all; he rather liked the weight of his shy lover, but he didn't want to scare Simian away now either.

Why? Why, now, was he so...nervous?

"Sim-chan...I feel so good. You made me feel wonderful. Please don't go away," he pleaded very carefully.

Simian's eyes widened and he glanced up startled at Haru, blushing self-consciously at the bunny's sincere expression, before he had to look away from those beautiful purple eyes again. He wasn't sure what to do with himself, but he just felt so perfect sensing and experiencing Haru everywhere. Too perfect. Distractedly, he noticed a piece of something caught in Haru's ruffled hair, and before he could think on it he automatically began grooming his new lover.

Haru giggled softly, perfectly content to have his fluffy hair gone through by such nimble and gentle hands. He sighed very contentedly under the ministrations, turning his head a little so Simian could reach all the way around. But Haru was not done with snuggling yet, and within a few minutes he had reached up behind Simian's neck, urging him down onto the mattress to lay beside him.

Haru knew he would be sad to feel Sim-chan leaving his insides, but he didn't want him to be uncomfortable either...and besides, he wanted to listen to Simian’s heart.

Simian blinked and looked down uncertainly as Haru rested his head against his chest. The usagi twined their legs together as if to make up for the loss of being separated from each other's special warmth by pressing everything else as closely as possible. Simian couldn't help the tiny smile that spread to the corners of his lips as he lightly settled a hand on the top of Haru-chan's head and stroked his fine hair.

Simian's heart was beating hard and strong. Haru loved it and realized he really really could become dependent on the solid beat to take away his own pain. After a few moments of listening to it, Haru looked up at his love and smiled sweetly.

"See? Isn't this nice? You feel nice too, right Sim-chan? Do you feel happy?"

Simian's head tilted slightly as he looked into Haru's heart-shaped face. His hand stopped its gentle motions and instead cupped the back of Haru's head, gently guiding the other closer to him, feeling a little calmer now. He brought Haru's lips close enough to brush against his, but he didn't kiss Haru, not yet. This...this feeling was so beyond any happiness Simian had ever experienced the very few times in his life, and he couldn't possibly form what he felt into words.

Haru, on the other hand, didn't seem to share Simian's problem in that regard. With their lips just touching Haru closed his eyes and whispered, "I love you, Sim-chan."

Simian's heart leapt in his chest, breathing in Haru's words, but not quite believing. Was it...really...love? He looked closer at Haru, taking in the bunny's dark eyelashes damp with drying tears, the faint flush to his round, ample cheeks, and the slightly parted, kiss-swollen lips that had murmured that sweet miracle.

Haru's little mind was full of hesitant questions. He wanted to know that it was okay for him to be with Simian, that he wouldn't try to make him go away all the time or look like he was suffering when Haru touched him a little. Simian was so unique from everyone else the little bunny had encountered; they had either wanted him for his power or just wanted him for satisfaction.

And he was at the bottom of the food chain so he was constantly in danger of predators...but Sim-chan didn't seem to want to abuse the bunny’s abilities, and he didn't want to hurt Haru, not on purpose. Those two things made Simian undeniably precious and special. If they had to be separated, Haru didn't know if he could live through the sadness of loneliness again.

But right then, with their bodies still sharing warmth, sweat, and passion, and their breathing just now slowing, he was afraid to bring all of his questions into the light. Maybe it would be much too much trouble for Sim-chan to be his special and constant companion; Haru was still wanted by evil and cruel beings after all.

But Haru didn't want to think of "them" either.

He practically burrowed himself in the crook of Simian's arm, sighing gently. He didn't want to press the issue, but the lonely little Haru-chan in his heart wanted to be sure of at least one little thing.

"Sim-chan, do you like me...a little?"

For a moment, neither of them moved nor breathed. "...No."

Haru blinked. No? Did he just...answer that question with...no? For a moment he couldn't move, and he could barely breathe. He pulled his head out of Simian's arm to look at him, hoping he had maybe heard wrong.

"No?" he asked, his large eyes simply stunned as his heart began to pound anew.

Simian's face gave away nothing as he stared directly back into Haru's disbelieving eyes. He tilted Haru's chin up with his fingertips, his lips slowly curving into a tender smile, as he whispered against Haru's mouth again, "No."

And he kissed him.

Haru kissed back with all of his poor bunny might. He thought he had been tired, but right now...right now something strange inside was making him desperate. When he pulled away he swallowed hard.

"I don't believe you," he said earnestly, thoroughly confused.

Simian's grin broadened until his white teeth peeked from between his lips, nuzzling Haru's little nose with his own. "Then don't..." What he felt for Haru went so beyond merely ‘liking’ him, he never considered Haru would even fathom Simian felt anything less than he did.

Haru let himself be nuzzled, but...

"I won't, because it's not true," he asserted boldly...but there was something...really strange about Simian right now. Something...off.

"Why are you lying to me, Sim-chan?"

Simian gazed at Haru a moment longer, honestly taken aback by Haru’s seriousness when he’d only been teasing... He closed his eyes when he felt that damnable spark of doubt begin to flicker in his chest, questioning his emotions when he had thought he’d finally attained something real to hold on to, something positive.

When he opened his eyes again Haru was still looking at him with that wary expression. Simian sighed, his newborn confidence crumbling to pieces around him as their dreadful lack of mutual understanding came rearing up again. He carefully wrapped one arm around Haru's slight waist and rolled them over so that Haru was on his back and Simian was laying next to him, his head propped up on one hand but turned downwards against that fearful censure.

Haru obediently let himself be moved, but he didn't like this big empty silence. Why was Sim-chan saying ridiculous things when he spoke and then not answering his question? This wasn't fair! He wanted to go back to that happy feeling from just a few moments ago...but there was this big, gigantic lie sitting on top of his happiness and it was squashing him.

"Why, Sim-chan, why lie to me--?"

"I'm afraid, Haru-chan," Simian suddenly blurted out in a rush before he could catch himself, his face reddening as he ducked his head so that his hair concealed his face. "I...I'm afraid that you're not real, and that I'll wake up and be alone again. I'm afraid that you'll be taken away, and…and I won't be able to protect you. I'm so afraid of falling..."

//... falling in love…with you.//

Haru relaxed...a lot. This...this sounded like his Sim-chan, the silly thing. As much as he could accomplish it, he pounced on Sim-chan, holding him around the waist and nuzzling his face into Simian's chest.

"I'm really real!" he exclaimed. "That's the part I can help with. As for the other stuff, I'm scared of them too, but it's too late. I love you and that's how it is. And I think maybe I love you more than I'm scared. Isn't that okay?"

No matter how Simian tried to anticipate it, Haru always managed to surprise him in some way. The bunny was so painfully uncomplicated and cared more about what he could do with the present, while Simian tended to linger on painful happenings in the past. "Yeah, Haru," Simian murmured, his voice soft and warm, "that's okay."

Haru sighed, "I know...maybe I'm a selfish bunny. Maybe, knowing that things want to eat me or hurt me I should run away and just be alone but..." Haru shuddered and squeezed harder, "I can't. I just can't! But I don't want to think about how selfish I am; I want you to hold me like this as much as I want, as much as you want. When my family...disappeared I learned...I learned that if you don't snuggle and adore the people you care about they could someday be gone and you'd miss the fact that you didn't snuggle them enough. That's what I want to do because something could happen tomorrow..."

"…But if I never had you,” Simian rested his chin on top Haru's head, stroking the other's back as he whispered too softly for Haru to hear, “then I wouldn't have to risk the pain of losing you, Haru-chan..."

Haru looked up drowsily. "What did you say?" Simian shook his head a little sadly, but pressed a chaste kiss to Haru's mouth.

"Sleep, Haru-chan. I'll be here with you when you wake up."

Haru looked at Simian warily. "Do you promise? No more silly lies? You really will be here? If I have a bad dream, you'll shush me and remind me you're here?"

Simian nodded and he pecked Haru's cheek briefly before shifting them both to pull the tangled sheets and covers over them, not quite meeting Haru's eyes the entire time he got them settled.

Haru stared at Simian for a second longer. It wasn't really an assurance, but if Sim-chan was going to lie to him there was nothing he could do about that. Maybe...maybe he'd still run away, even after all of that. Still, Haru was weak; he couldn't make Simian unhappy. "Okay," he said settling in, but wrapped his arms tightly around Simian's waist as if he could keep him from running away either.

Simian would do everything he possibly could to make sure he was there when Haru needed him, but there had always been forces that continually made his life uncertain and uncontrollable, so he was afraid to make promises or hope for too much. But now that he had one thing that was his - no matter how tenuous - he wasn't going to give it up without a fight.

Haru quietly listened to Simian's heart once again. The steady pulse, more than anything else at the moment, was the soothing factor that helped his momentary anxiety at the thought of being left alone. And Simian wasn't trying to struggle out of his embrace...at least not yet, so why not enjoy the happy closeness while he had it?

With a sigh Haru let his heavy eyes close.

Haru was so warm and comforting resting against his body, reminding Simian how tired he was as the bunny's soft breaths evened out in sleep. But he couldn't allow himself to fall into a deep slumber yet - there were still things he had to take care of first.
