--Trixie's POV--
"So remind me of how I'm supposed to do this?" I asked, eyeing a brownie in the window of a nearby sweet shop hungrily.
"San is on a date with Josh, and whenever they go by here, you distract him with your new preppy hotness." Iris explained, sipping on Starbucks while attached to Aden's arm.
"And while Josh is distracted, Cassie and I run in and grab San, pulling her off to K." Jinx finished.
The four of us, Me, Jinx, Aden, and Iris, were in the middle of the mall, waiting for San and Josh to walk by so we could ambush them.
"We're off then, good luck." Iris said before starting to walk away.
"Wait! Where are you two going?" I yelled.
"Oh...umm...we're going...to...uhh...help...feed the...um...penguins in Borders?" Aden said helplessly, being drug away by Iris.
"I have to work." Iris called out, stopping momentarily and turning around. "And Aden is keeping me company. I'm out."
Iris and Aden then walked off, leaving Jinx and I alone.
"Well then, I suppose I'm off as well." Jinx chirped, smiling brightly and turning around.
"Where the hell are you going you munchkin!?" I called out to him, stopping him.
"I have to help Cassie snatch San, remember." He said calmly, batting his eyelashes prettily.
"Ugh, fine then. Go away you little hoebag." I scoffed.
"See ya." He said brightly, skipping away.
"Okay then...all on my own...just waitin'...just a'waitin'...oh yes...this is me...waiting for San...here I am, all by myself...just a'wai--" I was interrupted then.
"Are you okay girl?" Cleo asked, her face suddenly filling my field of vision.
I yelped, jumping back and swatting at Cleo.
"I think your friend is crazy." I heard a male voice say. I looked behind Cleo to see a very yummy looking boy standing there with his hand in Cleo's.
"So who is this?" I asked, motioning to the guy with my hands.
"This is Mako." Cleo replied, smiling slightly.
"Hi." He said from beside her.
“Hello, Mako.” I drawled, eyeing him like that brownie earlier.
“Mine.” Cleo declared, leaving no room for argument.
“Doesn't mean I can't look.” I replied, smiling at the boy's face, a mix of indignation and pride.
“What are you doing?” Cleo asked.
“I am the bait in K's little plan to get San back from the clutches of her evil heterosexual crush.” I replied, motioning nonchalantly at the pink and white striped tank top, pink and white skirt, matching purse, and white heels.
“I was wondering what was up with the new look.” Cleo started. “How exactly are you getting San back from her new boyfriend?”
“Jinx and Cassie are distracting the couple as soon as they get to the American Eagle, you know how much San loves AE. When Jinx and Cassie pull her into it, I'll seduce him and run away with him and then San will be sad and alone, Cassie and Jinx will take her to the restaurant across from Borders, where K is waiting at a nice romantic table to confess her feelings.” I explained in one breath.
“I don't think your plan is gonna work...” Cleo said, her eyebrow raised skeptically.
“Of course it will.” I replied, nodding. “Iris' mom came up with it.”
“Oh...I didn't know that. Yeah, it'll probably work. Have fun.” Cleo chirped, walking away from me quickly.
“Wha? Wait! Where are you going?” I called, confused at her quick exit.
“I don't wanna be around when this plan goes into effect...in my experience, Mi-Yae's plans always work...just never quite the way you plan them...” Cleo replied. “Have fun though.”
“Yeah...well...I will!” I yelled back indignantly.
I sighed quietly: I was worried about this plan, I mean, what if San actually had feelings for this Josh person and the whole thing just wound up blowing up in our faces?
Granted, Mi-Yae's plans always worked...except for Operation T.U.B.A...that one didn't end so well, Mr. Gains had to have that air freshener surgically removed...
But still...
My cell phone suddenly started screaming The Killers at me, the ringer volume turned up to the max by Mi-Yae, obviously. I grabbed the phone from my pocket, glancing at the LCD to see Jinxie's name.
“Jinxie?” I asked, answering the phone.
“The targets are approaching sector phi-theta-niner-zero-zero-charlie” Jinxie replied, his voice muffled like he was a spy or something.
“Jinxie, quit being stupid and speak regular English.” I snapped into the receiver.
“Geez...buzzkill...anyways, San and Josh are nearly here, get ready.” Jinxie said before hanging up.
I calmly made my way closer to the AE where Cassie and Jinx looked highly out of place in their substantially less than preppie attire. I looked about for San and her new 'boyfriend', scanning the light crowd for San's distinctive naturally bronzed skin. I soon spotted them and analyzed them quickly, noting the bored look on Josh's face and the melancholy one on San's. Josh would be easy pickings, he looked miserable.
Miserable and rather adorable in his tight Hollister shirt and jeans...maybe this wouldn't be so hard for me after all. I viewed the couple grow nearer and nearer to Jinx and Cassie and watched as Jinx stopped her, speaking to her.
I walked up quickly, eyeing the boy as I neared him. Mm-hmm...tall, lithe, and preppy. Blonde spiky hair and nice green eyes. I smiled as I reached him and tapped his shoulder, drawing his attention away from San.
“Hi...” I said, smiling demurely and holding my hands clasped in front of me, shifting my weight from one foot to the other.
“Umm...” He said, the light green eyes blinking owlishly. “Hi.”
“I'm Trixie.” I purred, smiling seductively and grabbing his arm.
“I'm J-J-J-Josh...” He stuttered. “I-I-I-I'm kinda h-h-here with s-s-someone...”
“I know, but I kinda have to seduce you and get you away from her now. You're interrupting possible true love.” I explained to him.
“Oh...sad times...” He replied, looking down.
“Hmm...wanna get Ben & Jerry's? I work there so I get a discount.” I said.
“Sure.” He replied, looking up at me and smiling.
Sometimes, you just have to be a homewrecker to end up happy...
--San's POV--
“Hey...guys?” I asked, calling Jinx and Cassie over to me by the belts. “Where did Josh go?”
“Josh?” Jinx asked, frowning.
“My date...” I replied.
“Oh...I dunno.” He replied, shrugging.
“I'm hungry.” Cassie grumbled, scowling at the skinny blonde chick glaring at him from the cash register.
“Let's go to that new place across from Borders, you know, the new Thai/French restaurant.” Jinx chirped, grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the store and away from the cute belts.
“Wait!” I cried. “What happened to my date!?”
“I told you, I never noticed him.” Jinx said, making an innocent face...suspiciously innocent.
“Jinxie...what's going on here?” I questioned sweetly as he dragged me through the hallways towards the restaurant.
“Nothing...err...yeah...something...but it's important.” He replied meekly.
“What could be so important as to ruin my date with Josh!?” I yelled at the small boy holding my arm.
“You'll see. Trust me.” Was all he said, stopping in front of the restaurant. “Go in there, go to the outside area, and go to the last table on the right.”
I hesitated, going only when Cassie glared at me. Yeah I'm a wimp, but Cassie is pretty scary looking...when he's mad anyways. I walked into the restaurant and followed Jinx's directions exactly, walking out into the cool air and down the aisle to the last last table on the right.
I looked at it to see none other than K, the Russian girl wearing a dress consisting of a black corset and a long purple skirt. Her hair was in a neat bob, and her makeup was flawless.
Obviously the work of Iris' and Aden's mothers, because K, though I love her, cannot put on makeup to save her life.
“K?” I questioned, my head cocking to the side.
“San.” She greeted, wringing her hands together.
“Is there a reason why you had Iris and Aden's mothers concoct an evil plan to get rid of my date and bring me to this fabulous restaurant where you're waiting all dressed up for me?” I asked, smiling softly as I connected the dots.
“Maybe...” She replied; looking down at her hands, unusually timid.
I smiled bigger and took two quick steps up to her and placing a small kiss on her cheek. K looked up at me questioningly, blushing slightly.
“I love you too.” I explained, a slight sob coming from me as I smiled hugely.
Sometimes, things are worth waiting for...
--Iris POV--
“Welcome to the world of cookies, how may I help you on this cookietastic day?” I asked, turning around to view my customer, a certain blonde haired tanned boyfriend .
“Look! It's the cookie fairy.” He said, smiling goofily.
“I will not hesitate to cut you.” I threatened, brandishing a wooden spoon like a knife.
“Such disrespect for your customers.” He quipped, eyes twinkling. “I'd hate to have to tell your mother.”
“Do it.” I replied evenly.
“Have I ever told you how cute you are when you're threatening me?” Aden asked, still smiling widely.
“Just order before I get fired.” I ordered, but the severity of the command didn't reach my eyes at all.
“Why should I order? You already know exactly what I'm gonna get.” He replied smugly, still smiling at me.
“Yeah. Yeah, I do.” I replied, smiling back.
Sometimes, good things happen when you need them most, and expect them least...
The End.

A/n: I know, shoot me. I am ridiculously late on this chapter. I am also veeeeerrrryyyy sorry. I also just realized that I added a few characters that I'll probably never use. I'll try though. So, I have a plan. This story is done, but I may write an epilogue.
So I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to finish this story, but then I went back and read all of my reviews, one by one, and I very nearly started crying. I am more grateful than you guys will EVER know for your support, thank you sooooo much.
I also realized a ginormous plot glitch in that I originally said that San was in love with K, and then I switched it around, but it's okay, because they love each other.
That's all for this authors rant.
Well, I do have one more thing to say...Stuart Townsend in Queen of the Damned...drool
