The party was alive and kicking at Dennis’s when Peter and the guys got there. Everybody went their own ways. Peter was sitting on the couch when April got there.

“Hey Peter! This is my date Jeremy. He is on the internship with us,” April said enthusiastically. Jeremy shook Peter’s hand and the two guys chatted about the trip and April, as April went to get a drink.

“So Jeremy, how long have you and April been going out?” Peter asked.

Jeremy replied, “We dated a couple times about a month ago, but she wanted to get more room in the relationship so we were on a break for a while. She called a couple days ago and said she wanted to hook up. We decided to give it another try.” At that moment Peter couldn’t believe what he had just heard and he realized that April was his friend and would never be anything more. As April joined in the conversation, everything was happy and excited as the three talked about the trip to Vegas. Spike and Travis joined the banter and before they knew it the time was 11:00. People had already started leaving but the regular group felt like staying a little longer. Everyone was sitting around talking and they didn’t even realize that it was so late, however they didn’t feel like going home. As everyone sat around discussing nothing in particular, nobody even noticed that April and Jeremy had left. Travis decided to get a pop when he heard a giggle and heavy breathing. He decided to find out about it, and as he opened the closet door April and Jeremy fell out. April looked quite surprised but Jeremy however looked quite pleased with himself.

“Wow Travis, sorry you had to see that,” April said as she and Travis took a walk after Jeremy left.

“It’s no problem, it just surprised me that’s all. I just have one question.”

“What’s that?” April replied with an earnest expression on her face.

“Do you love him?” April pondered that thought for a couple minutes and said slowly in a timid tone, “I wouldn’t call it love but he makes me happy and that’s something I haven’t felt in a long time.” Travis grabbed her hands and brought her body close to his. He was so close he could feel her shivering from the crisp, night air. He kissed her passionately and sweetly. He held her close and at that moment he felt as thought the world was perfect, she was perfect. His bliss soon turned to curiosity as he realized she was crying.

“April, don’t cry! I don’t know if it’s my fault but I can’t stand it when people cry,” Travis said as he hugged her intently.

“Travis its not you, well it’s partly you. I mean I was with Jeremy and now out of a completely random moment you kiss me. You just made my life a tad harder that’s all,” April whispered as she looked up into the moonlight. Everything was perfect, why can’t I just choose she thought. Why does this happen to me, I always seem to be happy and then something drastic happens and my world is flipped upside down. What am I going to do. Oh Fuck!!

Travis thought something so devious, so unlike him, it scared him at first that he would be having this thought. Maybe I should take her to a hotel. I wonder if she would want to do that. What the fuck am I thinking? It’s April, she would never do something like that. Well then again she did sleep with Ed, but I’m hoping that was just a huge misunderstanding and she was just looking for sex. Nothing More.

As If he had a little angel and devil inside his head he began to debate with himself. She’s my friend our relationship would get seriously fucked up if we did that. But what if I love her and I never take the chance to seize the moment. Wait a second, I’m Catholic. No sex before marriage right. Oh screw it!! I want this to happen and I’m hoping she wants it to happen too.

April suddenly shook his arm as Travis grabbed his head as a way to force the debate away.

“Travis is something wrong? You look really weird,” April said intently as they looked into each others eyes. That moment of intense sexual tension was too much to take. Suddenly they kissed and it was something that was wholesome and tender. After 30 seconds of pure passion, they broke away from each other suddenly.

“April, I love you and I want to be with you more than anything in the entire world,” Travis whispered in her ear. He affectingly nibbled her ear as he waited for her to respond. His thoughts kept drifting, to things that he normally wouldn’t think of, this surprised him because usually it was his friends who thought about their sexual fantasies, not him. April began kissing his neck as he slowly slid his hands up her shirt.

“OH HOLY SHIT!” April screamed and backed away.

“Oh god, did I do something wrong?” Travis asked with an odd look on his face, April began to laugh. Travis was still in shock, thinking he had done something wrong.

“No, you didn’t do anything wrong. You’re hands are cold as ice. Jesus Christ don’t you have gloves?” April exclaimed in a sweet yet sexy tone as she continued to laugh. Travis pulled her in again and pulled her hair from her eyes as he went in for another kiss.

“Travis, I don’t feel right about doing this. Especially not out here in the middle of the street at Dennis’s house. We should either stop and save it for another time or go some place else,” April said in an amusing voice.

“I’ll go and get my car keys and I have some extra cash if you want to get a motel room,” Travis said with a smirk on his face. Without warning April suddenly slapped him.

“Oww, why the hell did you do that? I just want to be with you April. Son of Bitch, you slap really hard! Fuck! I think I need ice.”

“Travis I’m sorry. But, I thought you would realize that if we love each other we could wait to have sex, I mean isn’t that a better idea”

“Well you hooked up with Ed, I’m pretty sure you guys aren’t married. Unless there is something you aren’t telling everyone.”

“I’ll tell you why but you have to swear not to say anything,” April looked straight into his eyes with a solemn expression. “Let’s keep walking and I’ll tell you all about it.”
