I’m burning beneath the sun

So much so that I wish I were freezing

So cold that I was numb

So I could wish that I were burning

Locked in a conundrum of malcontent

I wish I were wishing I was here

Misery begs for pleasure that begs for misery

In this conundrum of malcontent

You say you won’t be satisfied by anything I do

But I won’t be satisfied until you are

You are forever displeased by what I do

And I am never ceasing to please you

Locked in a conundrum of malcontent

I wish I were wishing I was here

Misery begs for pleasure that begs for misery

In this conundrum of malcontent

I’ve been gone for so long

I want to come back

So I could be sick of home once again

And depart from this place to never return again

Locked in a conundrum of malcontent

I wish I were wishing I was here

Misery begs for pleasure that begs for misery

In this conundrum of malcontent
