Darkness

I’m losing grip on life

Allowing the darkness to take me

The pain has cost too much

To allow me to go back to the way I was.

I live in a world full of hate

Where apathy rules the hearts of many

Happiness is a legend to be searched for

No one gets along and death is a daily experience

So I’m closing my eyes and dreaming of better

A place where the good rule

People are laughing and enjoying themselves.

Then I open my eyes

I see the destruction

A single tear falls to the ground.

My second poem. I’m so proud of it.
