Genshzae - The Goddess of Punishment. She was born the last of Atavichshizt’s twelve children, and was created from his heart. She’s the most feared of all the the Atavichshiztan deities, known to be an austere and quick- acting god. Ultimately she is considered to be the patron of chaos and destruction, but also the patron of justice and politics. One of her major roles is punishing those who break the sacred Oath to the Gods or Ofev Lafinzech.
Gez - A young man with frizzy blond hair, who is known as the bosom friend of Kavech. Together they create mischief in the city of Oechtehach until one day they went too far. They desecrated the wall where the Great Laws of Oechtehach were engraved upon by hacking their own laws into the stone, and to make matters worse, he stole a relic from the war that was held in the Lumian Battlefields. He was eventually exiled along with Kavech and they wanted to travel to Tok together but were separated by an attack from wild animals.
Ghevehech - One of the sixteen members of the city council. He is a good and longtime friend of Boch, and it was he who first voted for him to replace Fochez. He is also the uncle of Sechz, of whom he wants to take up the same political career. But because his nephew is often involved with a few of the escapades that Kavech and Gez pull off, he also doubles as a “bail” out of punishment from the Temple and the council.
Gich - The Atavichshiztan gold coin. It is shaped like a flat leaf or almond and is inscribed with the symbols of the cities from where it was made.
Holy School of Tok - The Holy School of Tok is one of the greatest religious schools in all of Atavichshizt. Men and women who desire their children to take up a religious life make them attend the school to learn to become priests and acolytes. The High priest of Tok is the one in charge of the education of the youngsters, and along with some other scholarly priests, they teach religion, philosophy, mathematics, and history. However, they only accept children for schooling (regardless of wealth or social class), and they are only to be kept within the city of Tok, the school providing food and living quarters for the students. The minimum years for studying at the School of Tok is ten years for acolytes, at which time they may not leave to visit their families. Priesthood comes a few years later, depending on how much devotion a student exhibits, and how much favor he gains from the High Priest. To become a priest is to devote yourself entirely to the beck and call of the High Priest. Nevertheless, they are allowed to have families when they achieve a first degree rank of priesthood. Lower ranks have to remain celibate for the time being. The Hierarchy of the Tokean temple consists of: the students (with year level sub divisions) as the lowest rank, the acolytes (first and second degree), the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth degree priests, and finally the High Priest as the highest rank. Only first degree priests may become high priests and only if they have been appointed as successor by the High Priest.
Hunting Competition - he annual competition of the temple of Oechtehach that is held every autumn on the first day of the Atavichshiztan calendar. The Temple issues it at sunrise on New Year’s day, in which volunteers shall race into the forest to look for wild boars to hunt that are to be offered to the gods and to ensure good fortune for the rest of the year. The competition rages on and stops only when the Temple has reached its quota, which is 1200 wild boars; one hundred each for the twelve gods. After the competition, the hunters with the most kills and the biggest kills are rewarded, and the their quarry roasted to be distributed across the city as a great banquet. Certain simple rules are applied to the competition, one being the hunters can only kill using weapons blessed by the High Priest (the temple has spare weapons for those who were not able to have their tools blessed), and you have to bring your kill one by one to the temple to ensure proper counting. A horn is blown every time a hunter brings a new boar.
Huxe - A large flightless bird of deep purple plumage, used by the people to draw chariots. They are sometimes used for races and can be mounted. They are very expensive and are prized by breeders.
