how did I turn from idols

to serve You, the living God?

when challenges of not comprehending

that which by Your Will I do not know

might have swept me away from You

how did my hand fit inside Yours?

am I just some random heart

a target unknown for universe-altering grace?

whispered questions turn to dust

peace and blessing enclose me

love, divine death-surrendering love, surrounds me

all I see is You

Your pierced hands hold me

and I am forever safe
