Cross-Examinations Turning Into The,
Constructed and Construed

A chlorine-stained day
A chlorine-stained day
stuttering to a stop right before a night delivering open-sore servitude
before they could bat two eyelashes together
two at a time until the smoky silhouetted daydreams are blurring together.

Oh, the charring pavement under bare feet
the imprinted predilections,
the two-toned denominators—
slipping thoughts together like certitude is going out of style.
We’re a mess with each other
We’re a mess with each other

everything is slipping together because
our bones are howling with sovereignty,
fracturing with pre-determined sheltered inferences,
all in their splintered enamel
just nearly languishing in our oxygen;
our molecular pores burning like this day.

Shameful to label us with deficiencies
because we’re nothing but balanced—
tiptoeing over inverted vertebras
Choking on June,
due to lack of proper introductions.
