I look at you,
And all I see,
Is a dream of me.

Tear the shreds of time,
Spend the night without me,
I can’t make you see,
All the stars of light.

Whisper to the dark,
All your secret wants,
Tell it your desires.
Letting go,
Watch it fall,
Tumbling down the stairs.

Tear the heart of life,
Spend the day without me,
I can’t make you see,
All the naked truth.

My heartbeat falters,
As the day goes on,
Unfulfilling and incomplete.
Such dreary thoughts confine,
The rolling dice of time,
Round and round they go.

Tear the cloak of night,
Spend an hour without me,
I can’t make you see,
All the illusions of mind.

This world is just a game,
A tumble in the woods,
Where words bind life.
Every now and then,
A blindness is born,
Amongst the human shadow.

Tear the moon of life,
Spend a minute without me,
I can’t make you see,
All the emotions of heart.

Tumble down,
This world’s unbound,
A destructive force of might.
Silence comes,
Once we’re done,
On this train to pain.

Tear the eyes of sight,
Spend a moment without me,
I can’t make you see,
All the dark delight.

When nothing seems right,
I tumble down these stairs,
Letting go forever.
Here it ends,
At the base,
Of the broken rail.

Tear these words apart,
Spend a breath without me,
I won’t have to see,
That here I am alone,
Where love seems complete,
With every man,
And every woman,
Bowing on their knees
Yet here I stand,
On my own two feet,
Pretending not to care.
