The Chosen Ones
by: trista groulx
Can you imagine
fighting to survive just one more day?
One more day of
inadequate living, even basic human rights
Knowing your family and
friends are gone to that place?
The place promised to
be better then this Hell on Earth?
Still believing God
must care for you, His Chosen Ones
Can you imagine being
tested once again for your Faith?
Looking, again, for
your Land of Milk and Honey
Only finding the most
brutal place on Earth
Created while one man
preached false truths
And the Fatherland
believed all the lies
That you, His Chosen
Ones, were Impure
Can you imagine
fighting to survive just one more day?
Praying for Him to
help you to escape this tortured fate
Still finding only the
cruelest place on Earth
Wishing those you love
so much have gone to His Garden
Always believing in His
Mercy as so many would have lost Faith
Seeing all the pain,
suffering and loss which did surround
Never recanting the
Faith for which you were being slaughtered
Praying for salvation,
believing you would witness His Miracle
Could you suffer like
that for your beliefs, for your Faith?
His Chosen Ones, they
suffered that horrible fate
His Chosen Ones, they
survived against every odd
Their Faith endures
today, in spite of such tragedy
Could you imagine
fighting to survive just one more day?
