If only there was a way that she could ease the pain without needing him to be there. Yet, the only way she could have ever be eased, was to see him. To note that he was okay, still breathing. To hear his soft voice play against her ear. She'd smile, while on the inside be torn up, and he'd eventually catch on to her, and ask her what the matter was. She'd reply with a 'nothing', like always, though the tears would stream down her pink cheeks, and he'd comfort her.

It's what she wanted to do anyway.

All too often when he pulled his disappearing act, did she say that she was fine, and acted like the happiest littlest being, no matter how she truly felt. But this time; he'd been gone for far to long. And when he'd next show his face, she tell him all of her fears and insecurities. Maybe then, he'd stay with her. It's all she could possibly hope for. Yet, even as she sat, with this plan tumbling over her brain, she clasped the locket around her neck, and knew that it wouldn't fall through, probably. She'd be too caught up in trying to express her deepest concern for his well-being, and her undying love, in hopes that he still returned it.
