December was a particularly hard month…
Even now it is hard for me to put my emotions into words…
Nothing seems to fit…
But this alas is my attempt…
Feel free to speak your thoughts on it by reviewing..

December tears”

A moment and that’s all it took
One moment for my world to shatter
Only a few words
And we all realized
That December would ne’er be the same
The cold
The wind
The shock
The tears
All fell for you

It only took a moment for it all to change
Only a moment in the endless stream of time
We will ne’er know why
Yet December tears will haunt
December snow cannot renew
December snow cannot wash away
The hurt
The sorrow
The shock
The realization

That for all we knew we really knew nothing
I didn’t see it coming
Some claimed they did
I knew you
But at the same time you were ages away
Staring off into the stars
Not admiring their beauty
But wishing to be up there

You took that wish in December
Shattering all I knew
Innocence is gone
And December tears will haunt
Always for you
Always for those who don’t realize what they have

December snow cannot renew The hurt
Or the pain
It can only act to freeze and hide it
Until spring comes to melt
Those December tears
Our December tears
My December tears

(This is dedicated to our fallen star for whom the thrush sings and the lilac blooms forever more… our red fish who sings and dances no more…)
