I’m sorry for the pain and loss

I’m sorry for the sorrow

I’m sorry for the ones that died

Their lives of no tomorrow

I’m sorry for the shed of tears

For their gift of liberty.

They fought the war some lived to tell

So now you can run free.

I’m sorry for the ones that fought

Their lives were thrown away

They fought and died for everyone

And all I have to say
