This is just a little something we had to write in English class, but revised. It’s not really all that good, but I felt like posting it as a: I-may-not-have-updated-my-stories-but-at-least-I-put-something-up type of thing. It goes with a picture, and it’s actually describing a scene. Please r&r!!! Maybe I’ll scan the pic. and put it up for y’all to see...

Serenity

Entranced in the spell-binding light from the sun,

Dying another death;

Weary from exhaustion.

In a trance-like state, as peaceful as death,

But one that would hardly leave you bereft.

Light as beautiful as light can be,

But not costing anything, not leaving a fee.

This lovely setting, becoming one with her soul;

Making her complete, making her whole.

The sun is dancing wildly as it says good-bye,

Mourning the life it is leaving behind.

The woman is soaring along with her mind,

This is the most peace she ever could find.

With a new kind of sensational freedom and peace,

Her face is erased of every wrinkle and crease.

The sun’s lease of the sky is fading,

And in its glory the woman is wading.

The last rays run over her skin and her soul

Making her complete, making her whole.

The sun is dancing wildly as it says good-bye,

This is the most peace she ever could find.
