Narrative poem

Different Shades Of Mundane

Pardon her while she cuts,

Cuts off her arms, legs,

Face and eyes.

Pardon the police and their yellow tapes,

Set up the cameras,

And measure the mess.

Pardon her parents while they shed false tears,

Bury each other in lies,

While covering their daughter’s pleading cries.
