The story of a shattered man

By: Gray Angel

The world I once knew is shattered.

The void consumes the light,

It consumes my soul.

Shards of light fall down on my face.

I just lay there…

Let the darkness flow over me.

Let eat my soul…

Tears fall from my eyes,

Tears of despair

Tears of a broken body.

A broken soul.

…A broken heart.

The last cord has rung.

Its time for me to go.

Just let the life flow out of me.

Like a river it bleeds into something bigger.

But mine is just a vast void of nothing.

Shut my eyes and let the dark take over.

Hoping that the next moment will be my last.

Till takes me over I am shattered.

Shattered soul.

Shattered body.

Shattered heart.

I raise my hand in hopes someone will take it.

I use the last of my energy.

My hand falls back to the side.

I no longer see the light.

All I see is dark.

My soul is shattered.

My body is shattered.

My heart is shattered.

I am only a shattered a man.

Death will come has a gift.
