Just thought I should explain this poem a bit. It's a old poem, I wrote it about two, three years ago I'm not really sure. Iwas having a really bad day and the world around me wasn't helping. The war in Iraq, Africa stillin major need of help and there I was just have a blue-day. So I wrote 'Voices' a free verse that takes two sides of life, the Optimist and the pessimist. I hope you enjoy and please review then I know at lest someone's reading!

Wake up...

sleep the pain away

Don't live there

In a dream

Just crash in to a sea of imagination

Face on more day

Brave the cold of reality

The promises that were lies are to many.

I know.

The lies that were followed

It's sickening

Yes.

So let it pass with out conscious.

This is home though

The warmth was drowned.

A mother still loves.

The only colours is grey transparent.

Vibrancy still grows.

Heartlessness rules ripping souls.

A child still awes at the stars.

So open sleeping eyes.

Leave.

A sun burns an innocent hope,

Just breathe in,

Bear a cross one more day,

What was done can never be forgiven.

To the end of time this pain will be felt.

Give into it and pass way

The journey home is not far.

...Wake up
