Africa and Britain

Africa, the misunderstood lady,

Her people’s traditions governing their lives,

The sun shines hard on their land with gentle breeze,

As she comforts her tribes.

Britain, one of the strong ladies,

Watching the days go by,

Her people live in their cities,

Watching the sun fade from the sky.

Both holding life in their arms,

And, as mothers hoping for peace,

With ancient blood that flows through their veins,

They’re hoping for the fighting to cease.
