Morning Dew

Seven drops of silver dew

Dripping down a petal wilted.

Seven stars in bright sky tilted,

Tears of a woodland spirit.

----------

Seven gems, lo and behold,

Sparkling like a fairy crystal.

Seven snowdrops blooming in cold,

Nature’s sign of winter’s end.

----------

Seven luminescent globes,

Shining as bright as a full moon.

Seven keys on a golden flute,

Whistling a haunting tune.

----------

Seven chimes gently ringing,

Billowing in the warm spring breeze.

Seven pebbles softly flinging,

Splashing a clear reflection.

----------

Seven tiny willow leaves,

Memories of once great trees.

Seven budding chrysanthemums,

Glinting in the purple dawn.

----------

Seven trembling drops

Of silver morning dew.
