My Crimson Tears

You never understood
When I was sad
And you made things worse
When I was mad

Did you not notice
Emotionally I was gone
There’s not much hope
I’ve been in pain for too long

So I cry my crimson tears
But you can’t see
My cuts and scars
Are the real me

The smile on my face
Is completely fake
It covers my true feelings
Hides the pain I cannot take

I’m hiding my feelings
Hiding them from you
Just like my pain
I’ll hide this poem too

Now you just keep living your life
And I’ll live mine
Hiding my crimson tears
Pretending that I am fine
