through winter in artificially lit houses

we flit like moths to dizzying flame

tiny details become the spider's web

entrapping, demanding our all

yet in the dark, star-splashed skies

even beyond the aurora borealis

You Are: this stills all questions

a steady wind blows, revealing

gem-like brilliance in new snows

look up, observe the process, colors

woven together by love's own heart

draw a relieved breath of refreshed cool

in deep recesses find that perfect abyss

and the One whose love is as a tender smile

Heavenly Father of ours, Sweetest One

forever effervescent hope, on and on

pull away from torment and tangles

be re-created among whispers of the north
