Just to be me

I awake every morning,

Not too eager to go to school.

It’s not that I don’t like learning.

It’s just that I’m not what you would call cool.

I’m not the prettiest person

In my entire school.

Nor am I the smartest,

But I know I’m not a fool.

I have learned not to care

About what others think.

I know that what they say

Is only their opinion of me.

AI finally understand

That to be happy

I don’t need to be a symbol of perfection

I just need to be me.
