Okay, this is just a little bit of fluffy nothing-ness written forever ago. And there are hints of slash in here. Slash, for people who don't know, is guy-guy relationships. Homosexual relationship. Yummy guy on guy action. Yaoi. Shounen-ai. Pick whatever you wanna call it.
So let me repeat this in bold underline CAPITAL LETTERS. THIS LITTLE BIT OF NOTHING HAS HINTS OF A HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONSHIP. PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE...GO AWAY!
ahem
I sit and stare at him, silent. How could he just do nothing?!
“David...” I whine.
He doesn’t look up from his book as he responds. “Hn?”
“I’m bored...”
He sighs, throws one small glance at me, and then goes back to his book. “Good for you.”
One would think he was the outgoing one in the relationship. Well, with the angel wings tattooed on his shoulder blades, and all the ear piercings he had, and his outrageous clothing, and his bright pink hair...well who wouldn’t is the real question. I wore any clothes that were comfortable and clean and had boring brown hair and had no piercings or tattoos. But by saying that, I would be basing everything upon looks, now wouldn’t I?
Truly, when you came down to it, I was the more outgoing one. I stop my train of thought and walk over to him. Throwing my arms around him, I pout. He lifts one eyebrow at me in question.
“I bored!” Oh, now he’s glaring at me...did I do something wrong?
“You know,” he states, “I have to read this book for class.” He lifts the book up and I stare at the red cover for a moment, before I grab it and throw it over my shoulder. A low growl comes from him as he pushes me away and reaches for his book, which was lying quite beautifully on the floor. Then he lets himself fall gracefully back into the large green squishy chair and opens up his book once more.
Fine. If he wants to be that way...
With a huff, I fall down onto my bed and bury my nose in the covers. They smell of flowers. Why they did, I really had no idea. When I had washed them, I didn’t use the smelly fabric softener. I used those sheets, you know, the ones you throw into the dryer, that leave no smell whatsoever.
I hear the book snap shut and the mattress sinks down as he lies down next to me. An arm is thrown over my back and a warm mouth presses against my neck.
“Nick...” he whispers. Oh no. He was not going to...to...
He kisses my neck again. I blink and try to stop my thoughts from going all hazy and dreamy like. Oh. Yea. He was not going to get me to apologize. I was mad cause he was ignoring me. And it was the only day for the next couple of weeks that we were free. I had a right to be mad, damnit!
“I’m sorry I’m ignoring you, but I really have to finish this chapter.”
I turn away from him. “Well, then, go. Go finish your chapter.” The cold shoulder is great for situations like these (but the silent treatment works well also).
He sighs and attempts to pull me into a hug. But with the way we were laying, it was quite an awkward and slightly painful hug.
I give him a playful shove. “Get off of me, you prat. Go finish your chapter so we can spend the rest of the day together.” He smiles and kisses me, this time on my temple. Then he gets up, sits back in the large green squishy chair and starts to read again. I roll over on my back and stare at the plain white ceiling. Look what he does to me. One hug and I turn into goop. Quite sad, really, once you think about it.
He smiles at me over the top of his book. But you know...that’s okay. Really.
