Horizon Empty

Sun hidden, in a world of grey

Ocean distantly hums, a song of morning.

Where land meets sea, in a supposed harmony.

Horizon empty.

Clouded sky’s, fogging the future.

Lighthouse frozen in time.

Rippling waves…

Horns booming.

Horizon empty.

Fly’s gather, swarming,

On the cold, still yesterday.

Rotting.

Violin playing.

Horizon empty.

Sun sets, bringing a dim tomorrow.

Lighthouse glows…

Life stops

Horizon empty.
