"Hey Mom? Is Dad there?" asked Darren as he looked over at Ally.

"Hey yourself! How was the drive?" asked Darren's mom, Dharma. "You and Ally didn't get into a fight, did you? We were hoping that we could get front row seats for that."

"Mom, not funny. Is dad there?"

"Yes Dear, I'll get him..is everything ok?" she asked, with concern in her voice for her eldest son.

"Yeah...and can you stay on the line? Get dad, I have to get someone on the three-way." explained Darren.

"Okay Dear, Okay." said Dharma, a little worried. After a couple minutes, he clicked back over and his parents, Dan and Dharma, could hear the voices of Kit and Andy Andrews. This is not good....she thought to herself.

"Okay. Kit, Andy, Mom, Dad, there's something that Ally and I have to tell you." said Darren.

"You kids didn't run off and get married on us, did you?" joked Andy, only hoping that he was joking.

"No, Daddy, nothing like that. But we thought that you should know that Dar and I have been engaged since prom last year...and I just found out that we're pregnant." said Ally, timidly.

"WHAT??" came the shocked cries of four very astonished parents.

"Now before you all freak out, will you calm down and listen to us?" Darren said, rolling his eyes at Ally.

"No," Dan said, "You two will listen to us before you even think about explaining anything. Darren, your mother and I have raised you better than to ever JOKE about something like that! You almost gave your mother a heart attack."

"Um...Mr. Michaels, Dar and I aren't joking about this. Do you honestly think we would?" asked Ally before continuing, "I think it was really mature of us to call and tell you. And I'm NOT getting an abortion, and we are going to get married someday. Mom, Daddy, I know you're probably really upset right now, and I'll understand if you never talk to me and Darren again, but really, I think that we're ready for this. Mrs. Michaels had Darren when she was 16 and you had Al when you were 18, so I don't see how any of you have any room to say anything right now. I AM 18 years old after all." Ally finished in one breath.

There was a long silence before Alex broke the ice with, "Uh, I just picked up the phone to call someone, this might not be any of my business and if it isn't, please tell me, but since this concerns both my sister, and my best friend I think I should be able to say something."

"Hey, Man, of course we want your opinion." said Darren, looking at Ally worriedly. They both were hoping that Alex wouldn't freak out.

"All right. Mom, Dad, Dhar, and Dan, Ally and Darren have known each other as long as you all have known each other, and you can't tell me completely and honestly that you haven't noticed how close they've gotten lately. I am sure that it's been a complete relief for you because you all wanted them to get together."

"I don't kno how many of your parties and get together's I've gone to where at least one of you said, 'I'm so thrilled about Ally and Darren. They are perfect for each other.' And you can't tell me now that you didn't mean it then. I agree, I'm not thrilled about them having a baby at such a young age, but they're already pregnant so there's nothing that yelling and screaming will do, except upset them, and I know that you both want to be at their wedding."

"I think this is a good thing for everyone that's involved. Mom, you're pregnant again, and so you and Ally will be able to go through everything together. There will be no surprises for her. And you know how hard it was for you because your parents kicked you out."

"SO, I think that only thing I have left to say is, Congrats Ally, Congrats Darren, and welcome to our family. Hope you don't get too scared."

Ally spoke in an awed hush, "Thank you so much big brother. Those were the kindest, nicest things I've ever heard out of your mouth and it means so much to hear that." she had tears in her eyes when she continued with, "Mom, Daddy, I hope that you share his opinion."

There was another pause when they heard someone clearing their throat. "Well, Allyson, welcome to our family. I guess you're going to officially become a Michaels now, huh!" said Dharma looking over at her husband with a smile. He broke in with, "Darren, I'm glad to see that you're taking responsibilities for your actions. And I do respect that you told us."

"Thanks Dad, Thanks Mom, I love you both." said Darren.
