Chapter One

“I'm going to go on an adventure!” Eris declared one morning. Everyone ignored her. She always said the same thing everyone morning, yet always something stopped her.

“Come on, this time I mean it! At least give me an answer!” Eris said. Everyone remained silent, eating on.

Finally, Iona, who knew her twin would go on complaining, answered her.

“What kind of adventure?” She asked. That was a mistake.

“Well, I'm going to go all around the world, especially to Arlia. I heard Arlia is full of elemental charmers like us so maybe I could learn some cool water charming tricks. Then maybe while traveling, I could meet a guy and fall in love like in those books. After all, it doesn't hurt to hope. Also, I'm going to train my water guardian so then.......” Eris went on, talking forever. Suddenly, her hair burst on fire, making her shut up. Quickly, her water guardian spirit doused it out with some water.

“Sheena, don't do that!” Eris said, glaring at her younger sister. Sheena remained silent, her fire guardian sitting on her shoulder.

“Eris, don't be mad at Sheena...you know how she can get annoyed easily...” Wyyn, the youngest sister of the four, said, trying to calm Eris down. Eris ignored her.

“Sheena, come on! Let's have a BAAAAATTTLLE!” Eris said enthusiastically, punching her fist the air. Sheena went on eating, ignoring her.

“Sheena!!!” Eris cried out. She hated to be ignored. Iona, annoyed at Eris, summoned her earth spirit Yuura and made her drop an acorn on Eris's head.

“Stop being so childish and sit down to eat breakfast.” Iona said curtly, pushing her glasses up her nose. Eris however got annoyed at stomped off to her room.

“Iona, Sheena, you shouldn't be so mean to Eris......” Wyyn said quietly. “What if she actually leaves this time?”

“She wouldn't. She knows that we need the water she supplies to live since we don't have any sources of water near.” Iona said.

“Okay...” Wyyn said, still unsure.

A few minutes later Eris came down the stairs, a backpack slung across her shoulder. She had a stubborn look in her blue fog eyes, her mouth set in a thin line.

“Hmph. I'll be leaving now, if you excuse me.” She said haughtily making a big show of walking across the room. And falling flat on her face.

Wyyn got up from the table and rushed to her older sister.

“Eris, are you okay?” Wyyn asked. Eris put on a smile.

“Of course!” She said, even though her face was bright with embarrassment.

“Here.” Sheena held out her hand to Eris. Eris stared in shock. Then, she let herself be helped up by Sheena.

“Sheena, you actually don't hate me?” Eris said, her voice becoming all watery. Sheena just stared at her silently, no emotion on her face. Then, she replied.

“You looked really pathetic on the floor.” Sheena said, as if that cleared everything up. Eris just got mad again.

“Hmph. Well then, I'm leaving.” Eris said. Wyyn held on to her sleeve with a hard grip. Her olive eyes started to get teary.

“Eris...please don't leave....we..we...I...” Wyyn, then burst into tears, making Eris feel terrible and guilty.

“I'm sorry, Wyyn, but please let me go...” Eris said quietly, slowly unhooking Wyyn's hand from her sleeve. She then left Wyyn crying, hoping that she could get away before Wyyn tried to sway her again. However, Wyyn came after her.

“Please, let me come...I couldn't stand it if you left....please...” Wyyn said, still crying. Eris still felt terrible and guilty by the tears.

“Okay then, but it will be dangerous...” Eris said. Wyyn shook her head and wiped her tears away, giving Eris a determined look.

“Don't worry about me. I'm fifteen, I can take care of myself.” Wyyn said.

“Okay...” Eris said, still unsure. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Sheena.

“I'll come too.” She said. Eris turned white.

“WHAT??!! No way,” She said. Wyyn tugged her sleeve again.

“Please...?” She asked, eyes wide. Eris fell in defeat.

“Fine.” She said glumly. Wyyn cheered while Sheena put on a small smirk. Eris then punched her hand in the air.

“Okay then, let's go beyond this meadow and explore the unknown outside world!” Eris said, walking forward, followed by her two younger sisters.

Iona watched the whole thing quietly. Then she smiled.

“Well, I should go too. You never know what kind of trouble Eris can get into.” She said, sighing. Then then summoned her earth guardian. “Yuura, help me clean the dishes. Knowing Eris, I bet she didn't put anything useful in that bag of hers, so I should prepare everything that we need.”

As Iona and her chimera got to work, Wyyn suddenly looked back at the path to home.

“What happened to Iona?” She said to herself. Eris shrugged.

AN: Okay! I feel so proud....I FINISHED THE FIRST CHAPTER....okay really, I have the second all written up but I'm only going to post the first since I'm not sure if it's good so far....

Also, if any of you are readers of my other stories, especially Key to My Heart (I hope not since really, I HATE THAT STORY), I will not continue any of the stories unless I get some kind of special inspiration or someone to co-write with (as if).
