This Room
It’s so quiet in this dark, cold room,
I didn’t think you would leave so soon,
I’m beginning to think these walls can talk,
They’re taunting me, keep saying,
You’re such a foolish girl, a foolish girl,
Look what you’ve done…
I keep holding on,
Grasping at the memories,
They’re seeping beneath,
These dull floorboards,
And I don’t know why,
But I can’t say goodbye,
I just can’t and I won’t,
Let it go
There’s a window in the corner,
And it’s painted black,
No matter how hard I try,
It just won’t open
I need fresh air,
And
a little bit of light,
I need some time,
So I can clean up my life
I keep holding on,
Grasping at the memories,
They’re seeping beneath,
These dull floorboards,
And I don’t know why,
But I can’t say goodbye,
I just can’t and I won’t,
Let it go…
This room is filled with such tragic memories,
I can’t reach the doorknob,
Can you help me please?
