She walked along the lonely road,
Thinking of the way things used to be,
And as she sat in her bathroom tub
She let her wrists cry softly,
Crying tears of blood.

She drifted off to sleep that night
Wishing her dead body they would find,
Only to wake again in morning,
She lost it all when she lost her mind,

As her wrists began to drain again,
She decided to get stoned.
She took the bottle and drained it down
With all the beer she owned.

Crying again, laying in the road,
Comes a car, her unseen by their lights,
This was it the final end,
No more painful nights.

But as the car approached her,
The engine gunned and died,
And the poison drained from her wrists
Where she had let the sharp knife slide.

She cried and screamed and wondered,
Why she couldn’t die, didn’t know,
And realized soon that it was Him,
He wouldn’t let her go.
