You call me up

We speak in silence

So much to say,

And no way to say it;

Our conversations are pointless

What are we doing here?

Just rehearsing?

Practicing for later in life

When love won't be a necessity

But, rather a choice.

You may show up at my doorstep,

You may think you know all there is to know,

But, know, no you don't.

You know nothing

Which is the same as everything to you.

Words that are not synonymous

Suddenly become so:

Love and pain

Lies and mercy.

There is no such thing as forgiveness

Only forgetting or letting go.

I don't know which I am doing yet,

But I am doing something

I just thought I should let you know.
