Hopes and dreams

Ripped at the seams

Left battered and bleeding

With Mercy unheeding

Stitched up and sewn

Hopes and dreams carry on

But never again will they be the same

Forever more, slightly retarded and lame

Faded mirrors of what once was

Sill moving on if only because

The world without these broken hopes and dreams

Can only, like them, end up ripped at the seams
