Quietly beating
Silence-bruised
My heart nestled in my ribs

Stepping out on hope
Each word a danger in my eyes
Until a few tears

Squeeze out

Mind's sensory
Rush and cradle me
You tell me not to cry

Alas, Paradox created
Of Paradise and Paranoia
I surrender and I resist

Craving constricts my heart

So used to deceit
Familiar to masks
I await a true face

Longing yours is thus
Desiring no false words
Beseeching verity

Dash the lies of my history

Please come back
And tell me you're still here
Tell me I'm alright

Replace me on the cloud
Of levity and peace
Lift my worried brow

Lead me from this labyrinth
