A/N: Goddess do I ever hate writing authors notes. Anyways, enjoy and please review!!!! I won’t write more till I get some reviews!!
Character Personalities (I figure I’d better explain this to prevent confusion):
Melodie: Bossy and bold. Loves James. Loves (as she will say) to hate Kayan. Melanie’s twin sister. Andrika’s best friend. Has a sort of southernish twang to her voice. Calls Kayan babe-bay. Loves to call Kayan queer. Has a sort of deep, soulful, singing voice, like Bif Naked’s.
Melanie: P-R-E-P-P-Y prep-prep-preppy!!!! Also tends to be A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G ann-ann-oying!!! Likes pink just way too much, especially to wear. Loves Taylor. Has a high singing voice.
Andrika: Ditzy with a capital D. Also kind of annoying but is popular with the boys because she is very well endowed. Is totally in love with Kayan but pretends she hates him and thinks he’s dirty because she doesn’t want people to make fun of her. Has a very versatile singing voice, and is good at holding long notes.
Taylor: See Melanie, except replace pink with blue and Taylor with Melanie. Kind of a jock, except he’s short. Is a drummer, because he couldn’t sing to save his life.
Kayan: Acts very queer, but isn’t. Is a drunk. Very openly loves Andrika. Has VERY heavy feminine overtones. Is a street boy. Doesn’t really eat. His good looks could cause a train wreck. Him and James are totally inseparable best friends, who tell each other everything. They’re like two parts of the same whole. Everyone in the world thinks he’s queer, except James, who knows he’s not. Almost always very happy-go-lucky. Wears tight pants. Has a beautiful singing voice, like Everlast or maybe Greenday.
James: Is blind. Has a total not-care attitude. Only loves three things in the world: Melodie (he adores her almost perversely), Sadie (his guide dog), and Kayan (who he would literally die without). Is punk and gets angry easily. Can be slightly insane sometimes, and if someone screws around with Kayan, they had better watch out. Has a deep singing voice.
Chapter 1: Aw, Dude!!
“Dude!”
“Dude!”
“Dude?!?”
“DUDE!”
“Duuuuude!”
“Dude.”
“Will you two just SHUT UP!!!” Melodie screeched, banging her head against the wall continually, trying to drown out the repeated calls of ‘dude!’ that were coming from Kayan and James. Melodie was pretty, with long blonde hair, pale skin, a good figure and gray eyes. She was dressed all in black. Black clothes, black makeup, black jewelry, black motorcycle boots, her hair even had black streaks in. She had bracelets up to her elbows.
“Dude?” Said Kayan, pouting and looking at Melodie with his big, expressive blue puppy dog eyes. Kayan had straight, below-shoulder-length blonde hair and was extremely attractive, to say the very least. He had angular, yet soft features, soulful, expressive eyes, an exceptionally sexy although very skinny body, and he was always smiling. His very personality was appealing. He wore his usual attire of a faded red muscle shirt, way-to-tight jeans, and the red leather dog collar he never took off. Kayan was an orphan, a street boy, and had been since his birth. He was also a drunk.
Melodie shrieked like a banshee and sat down next to Andrika, her best friend, brooding. Andrika was very beautiful, but that was about it. She didn’t have two brain cells to rub together, if that. Her long, luxurious auburn hair belonged on a shampoo commercial, and her figure among the ‘after’ photos in a plastic surgery clinic. She was always either smiling or pouting, not really smart enough to do much else. As for her face, let’s just say it was perfect. Her eyebrows looked like the must have been drawn on, her lashes could have been taken straight off a mascara billboard ad, her eyes looked like contact lenses, so flawless were their color, her cheeks the rosy hue of expensive rouge, accenting high cheekbones, and her lips were full and lush.
“You know they do it just to tick you off, Mel.” Said Melanie, Melodie’s preppy twin sister. She looked just like Melodie, except she was dressed completely in pink. As in so much pink it should be illegal. She was very bouncy, cheerleader-y and annoying.
“Well it’s working!” Said Melodie, fuming. She spoke with a kind of soft southern twang.
“-Dude.” James ended, smirking. Which set Melodie off. She shrieked and grabbed a throw pillow, chucking it at James. James had straight chocolate brown hair, the same length as Kayan’s. He was wearing black, mirrored, old-jazz-type glasses. The kind with the pointed frames. Other then that, he was dressed much the same way as Melodie, except in a more masculine way. He was blind. At his elbow was his German Shepard guide dog Sadie, one of the only three things in the world he loved, the other two being Melodie, who was his girlfriend, and Kayan. James had been a street boy most of his life as well, and had always protected Kayan. The two boys were uncannily close, like two halves of the same whole. It seemed an unlikely friendship, and many people thought they were lovers. They weren’t. At that moment, in fact, James had his arm hooked around Kayan’s waist, and was holding his friend tight to him. When James had lost his vision, he had depended on Kayan immensely, as he still often did.
He reached up and caught the flying pillow before it hit him, smiling as he threw it back, or tried to. It ended up hitting Taylor, Melanie’s boyfriend. Taylor was also blonde, but considerably shorter then the other two boys. His family was fairly well off, so he was always well dressed and had everything he wanted. He was kind of a jock, but a small one.
The six seventeen-year-olds were sitting in a sort of lounge. James was tuning an electric guitar, and Melodie was humming rather absently. Suddenly the door flung open.
“C’mon kids!!” The producer said. “You’re on in ten minutes!”
But maybe we’d better explain how we got here…
A/N: Yes, I know it was short and boring, but it’ll be really interesting soon, I swear!! I just had to introduce the characters. Pleeeeeeeeeease review! I will not write more until I get some reviews!
