Smooth and cool,
dark purple skin,
spotted with dew
and a breath of mist.
One single bite
reveals a world
beyond the dark exterior.
Juicy and sweet,
the golden flesh tastes
like summer sun
and cool breezes,
tempered by the
tangy bite of the
bitter-sweet skin.
Perfect and refreshing,
it quenches my thirst
for glowing sunshine
and the sweetness of life.
