Her life seems as perfect

But when she’s all alone

when there’s no one to smile at

she begins to think

about herself.

She takes out the razor

stashed in a drawer

and with a few swift movements

she corrects her imperfections.

Her legs she slashes

her nose she cuts.

slicing off

more and more flesh.

the blood stains her bed

her mom finds her too late.
