Shipwrecked

You’re all I have, a drifting plank
amidst depression’s deepest sea;
you’re all that keeps my life afloat,
you’re all there is to carry me.

Oh do not let me lose my hold!
Can’t you feel my urgency?
The void beneath is bitter cold –
Oh can’t you hear my desperate plea?

Can’t you hear the darkness roar,
how its depth is dragging me –
never let me sink again
into that sable endless sea!
