Darlita was confused girl, and nobody could honestly tell how torn up she was inside. She wanted to be known, to be rich and famous like every other girl. But the one thing she wanted most in life was to be unconditionally loved for who she was, she wanted true love. Her own fairytale.
She was alone in life. Her parents never understood her. They fought constantly, too caught up in their own masquerade. And never noticed the razors in her room, or the scars on her wrists. Darlita’s best friend was her pen and paper, her love was writing and drawing. It was her way to get her frustration and anger out.
She had her choice of men, she was beautiful in every way. The man she loved, Nathanial, was amazing, handsome, smart, funny, everything that described her own prince charming. But he had no idea how strongly she felt about him. Darlita loved Nathaniel more then any man. She felt that he was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. But he’ll never know. His heart was taken, she didn’t know to whom, but she could tell.
As she lye on the floor so many thoughts running through her head, she bursts out crying. With the gun in one hand, and his picture in the other, She said “I’ll love you forever; I just wish you would understand”, and pulled the trigger.
The day her parents found her, they had no idea why she would have committed such an act until the day they cleaned through her room. They found diaries, drawings, razors, stories, everything. Her whole life unraveled in front of them.
At the funeral, Nathaniel noticed how much he loved Darlita. He blamed himself for the death. A week later, he also killed himself.
Now, in the heavens, they live their fairy tale forever.
