The Girl That I Love

The girl that I love isn’t beautiful
But that’s ok by me
There’s no beauty there
That anyone can see

She has a slight squint when she smiles,
Her teeth aren’t especially white,
She has more muscles than most of the guys I know,
Her hair colour changes each night.

No one stares when she walks in a room;
Nobody watches her ass,
She hates almost every kind of exercise
But she has never got fat.

But the girl that I love, she is special;
She can hold a debate with herself,
She doesn’t care that I forget
That her birthday’s the 5th, not the 12th

She argues with all of my friends
About whether I’m right to choose her,
She doesn’t drink, or smoke, or drive,
But she never refuses a dare.

She steals my games on the computer,
She can almost beat me at ‘DOOM’
She almost owns 200 manga
(God knows how they fit in her room!)

She listens to rock music and rap,
She mocks the logical brain,
She tells me to take time out to be bonkers
She says she hates being sane.

The girl that I love isn’t pretty;
She laughs if I tell her she is,
But she’s the one that I love; I adore her…
Please don’t let her know I wrote this.
