Death of Democracy
Author:

Wrote this on the 4th of July. I didn't feel very festive, as I felt that we were celebrating a holiday of liberty, when I think we are killing democracy and liberty right now.

The land of the free
Shackled in bondages.
The home of the brave
Cowering in fear.
What is different and unique
Has no more place here.
What are we fighting for
But a dead ideal?
Democracy no longer has a mass appeal.
So happy 4th to all the drones
Celebrating liberty
That we no longer own.
