Long time no see. I'm alive, and my family are safe and well, although fairly shaken by recent events in the city of London. My uncle was not present in the area of London hit by the "suicide bombers", and my brother thankfully was not in London that day, although he could easily have been there had it happened a day earlier. If you or anyone you know has been hurt (physically and/or emotionally) by the events of the 7th July and the failed attempt on the 21st July, please accept my sincere and deepest sympathies. You don't know how close I've come to being in the same situation, and that makes me appreciate all the more the short time we're given on this planet to experience, to learn, to give, and return.
If you've clicked on this you're probably wondering where the poem is… well, it's short, but it'll be here soon enough. Patience truly is a virtue.
Give a little bit of your time each day to thinking about your family and your friends and how special they are, to you and to this this, every single day for the rest of your lives, even if they never know - at least you do.
Rhyming's not a strong point for me, so skip over that if you review …
Review away to your heart's content - don't understand it? S'okay, I know what I meant.
Me & You
Ineed you, but you don't know
Ifeel you, but it don't show
I cry now, but I won't yell
I die now, but you can't tell
I want you, but you don't care
I love you, but love ain't fair
No - no love ain't fair
