I wrote this in five mins. tops.. not the best I can do, but it works for me. :)

Out of the corner of my eye I see a shadow.

It lurks in my dreams.

Breathing a life once lived.

I hear it crying a song of lost hope.

Showing me the past and present of a life once worth living.

I find the shadow is mine.

Only its a reminder of the pain I once felt.

But not anymore.
