Useless promise In the dark my heart was born

My creator, God, sealed this heart with a kiss

Before placing the heart into my body

He made an oath, “I swear to send her the perfect lover”

Heart pumping, jolting me alive

I wake feeling the sting of a love never to come

As I go through life, beautiful romance passes me by

God’s promise hasn’t been fulfilled yet

Two people I have met taught me feelings of happiness

Both of them had to leave

God what about your promise?

I know I am young, so forgive me for being in love

Why am I so different?

No one could understand how hard it is

It’s hard to have every person you love disappear before your eyes

Swearing to return, but its like God’s useless promise to me
