Paradise on Earth

The luscious green of numerous leaves
The brilliant hues from flowers and mushrooms
A cool, damp odor hangs delicately in the air
The muffled silence comfortably envelopes
The crunching of pine needles and earth underfoot
Occasionally a bird call reminds you, you are not alone
A stream near by... giggles and whispers to you

Just then you notice a log cabin... who lives here?
The closer you get happiness swells in your chest
You know you are welcome, anticipation rises
The only focus right now is getting inside
As you approach, you feel a memory from deep within
Closeness, a needing, a feeling that you're needed
Loving, caring, sweetness, sharing

The door swings open, you smile
You KNOW you made it home
