easily distracted

my eyes betray me

whispering secrets

trying to sway me

i believe in lust

i believe in love

i believe in trust

i believe in all of the above.

why do eyes

tell so much more

than lips even try to?

all of nothing matters

when i look at you.

lips smile and they frown

and lips kiss and they pout.

my voice screams and it shouts

my eyes twinkle

and suddenly

i'm embaressed

i've just said "yes"

before you even asked.

velvet

silk

sugar

water

oblivion of abstract

pulls me under.

and my eyes clash with the silk.

a milky pearly grey,

the water reflects the sunshine

as i have to witness day.
