Take Me Red
I can count how many people know with one hand, not counting my parents. 1…2…3…4…5, okay so it’s five people it just barely fit on one hand. The less people who know, the better, it’s hard enough with five.
You know how in elementary school, you’d always have to do a report of what you did over the summer. I’m so glad that I’m in high school, and that I don’t have to do that anymore. No one could understand; they only know it’s bad. They could never begin to imagine what it feels like, if it actually happened.
People get up every day, trying to live, because of one word. People use the word so strictly, only for the extremes do they even think of it. It shouldn’t only be used for the extremes, since it has so many levels. The word is Greed. Apparently, it’s one of the ‘7 deadly sins’ I don’t believe in ‘God’. I have religiously extreme friends, so I have nothing against the people, unless they try to change me. Religion in general is just one big cult to me, harsh views I know. But, I need those kinds of views; they’re the only thing keeping me sane.
Summer started out great, I hung out with friends did normal teenage stuff. Mainly I stayed at home, I like being alone for the peace and quiet. Now, I’m not sure anymore.
My house has an attached garage, and the laundry room’s attached to the garage. It was built when having green stoves was a normal thing, if that’s any good as a reference tool. Who knew those things would make my life change, so that cruel harsh views were the only things keeping me out of an asylum; that and being able to lie extremely well.
I’m 16 now, legally able to drive, and a junior. Oh, joy, another year of school; except this year will be different. I’ll have to try to pretend even more, pretend that THEY don’t bother me, so I’m not given away.
I know a few more things about life now; things I didn’t want to know. Things that I didn’t need to know. And it’s all because I was finishing up my chore, mowing the lawn, and because of my garage and laundry room.
