I missed out on a few days of sleep,
But that's okay,
I spent my time looping a sound of sounds
To the perfect pitch and width,
Smooth sailing as I mentally spread out my arms
And fly like Pegasus used to.
Smooth sailing,
One breath at a time.
When do you know you haven't gotten a reply?
The houses look so small from up here,
People never watching,
Never looking up and exclaiming,
But that's okay,
It's better this way,
No one to show off for or worry about,
No one to bump fingertips against.
It's all good.
Smooth sailing as I mentally stretch out my palms
And fly like a weightless vapor.
Smooth sailing,
One breath at a time.
How did I know there's no one else here?
The sky is vast and infinite,
I can see for lightyears around,
No one can hide from me,
And I got nothing to hide
And there's no one to see.
It's lonely across the breeze.
Away! Away, sadness!
Smooth sailing as I close my eyes
And fly the remembered flight.
Smooth sailing,
One breath at a time.
Smooth sailing,
One breath at a time.
