Withdrawal - Shriek

Trembling

Eyes shut tight

Like an unborn I lay

Arms around my knees

Praying the darkness away

So many doorways

No closed

The room is eating me alive!

Can’t breathe

Cant’ speak

Body’s aching

Can’t sit still

So many bugs

Get them off me!

All over me…

Sweat feels so cold

So cold

So tense

I want to scream

And shatter this encasement

I need it!

No one understands

My body writhing for that prick

To watch that wonderful substance

Flow deep in my being

It hurts

I can’t take it!

The bugs – oh god get them off me!

Please…

If you love me

You’ll do it

How the hell can you sit and watch me suffer!

Your as bad as the people who created it

This poem is to be continued. This part addresses heroin addiction; the next will address smoking addiction.

Take care yall!
